Cats are welcome by DOG DOC. However, difficult to bring into PETSTOCK and can be difficult to train for the uninformed unless starting them at kitten age.
Some of the more common problems include:
- Scratching on the GOOD furniture
- Marking
- Roaming
- Integrating with the dog/other cat/other animals
- Moving/moved to new premises
- Leash and harness training
- Each feline is different - they respond differently to techniques and sometimes, it can be trial and error for your cat. The personality of a cat - i.e - whether they're a "fraidy cat" or are a bit more adventurous and more courageous has a bearing on the efficacy of the training.
DOG DOC has trained cats for harness, lead, easy tablet administration and recall and to tolerate and make easier, bathing and exposure to water.
This can all be accomplished easily when at a young age, but can certainly be accomplished at any age.
